Character stuff

For years the Shining Blade have been working from the shadows, from before the time of the council, they made sure that the royal family and those they deemed important enough were save. An elite force of highly  fighters, mages and assassins that have infiltrated everywhere around Lemuria, gathering information and taking out targets. Especially loyal to the new Lemurian Council and her Council Head, Ezriel Elaéydar, they conduct many covert operations, deliver messages and carry out other tasks from within the shadows.

To join the org, sent an DM to Quinty on Discord to work out a plot. As this is an organisation with a lot of potential plot points, it is not allowed to make a character inside the org without permission.

Ranks

MASTER EXEMPLAR - The leading force of the Shining Blade and unknown to all. This person works from ultimate secrecy, only a hand full know about the identity of the Master Exemplar.

PRECEPTORS - The Three Preceptors are those second in command. They are the only ones that know who the Master Exemplar is and have vowed to keep it a secret. They give out the tasks to those lower in rank, organize meetings and  take on the hardest and most difficult jobs. They are also the ones that decide if you're allowed to do the initiation.

THE INNER CIRCLE - The Inner Circle is formed of a group of powerful Moon Elves and Moon Mages, often specialized in Illusion magic. They are the ones that provide glamours for infiltration, make distractions for risky operations and use their magic of the initiation. Some are even trained for using their magic to extract information from those the organisation captures.

AGENT - The agents are those in the field, infiltrating, delivering messages and spying on those in high ranks. They went through a gruesome initiation and pledges their loyalty to the organization. Vowing to keep her secrets, cross their heart or die.

HONORARY MEMBER - The Honorary Members are those often in high positions who are known to the organization and have taken the oath, yet are not doing the work for them.

Initiation

When you are selected to join the Shining Blade, you have to endure a very gruesome initiation. With this initiation is is determined if you have the confidence to work for the organization.
The initiation is a battle, against a phantasm conjured by the illusionists from the Inner Circle. It will be a version of yourself, a manifestation of self-doubt. The task is to face your fears and doubts within the time-limit. It is possible to do this fight in whatever way you want to, either by steel or magic, cunning or brute force. As long as you show that you can defeat your self-doubt and show the others how you do it, and you don't die doing it.

The Oath of Confidence

The Oath of Confidence is what bounds you to the organization. It is a way of save keeping, as you will not be able to speak about the secrets of the org after taking this oath. After completing the Initiation, you will be brought to the Inner Circle, where the Illusionists will ask you to repeat after hem, placing an illusion over you by doing so. The oath is as followed:

Oath-taker, we have shared the wounds of our past. We now reinforce our future.
With this oath, you will be bound to defend our secrets. You attempt to reveal them on pain of death.
I am bound by the blood spilled from Shining Blade veins.
The secrets of the Shining Blade are mine to safeguard beyond this circle.
I will breathe my last breath before I will betray this oath.
It has been vowed, so shall it be! The trusted is now complicit in our mysteries and a protector of the alliance.
